Pearl Handling Instructions
・Please remove accessories when bathing, showering, or using hot springs/saunas.
・Avoid contact with chemicals, beverages, cosmetics, perfume, and hair spray.
・Do not store in places with sudden changes in temperature or humidity, or under strong direct sunlight/UV rays.
・If sweat or dirt adheres, gently wipe with a soft cloth before storing.
・Wiping too strongly may cause the plating to peel.
・Store separately from other gemstones.
・When pearls rub against each other, a white powder may appear. This is the natural nacre (calcium), not mold or a defect, and can simply be wiped away.
・White powder may also adhere inside the case when storing pearls. This is nacre, so please wipe it off.
・Because pearls are processed by drilling, the drilled hole edges may appear cracked. This is normal and unavoidable in processing.
・As natural cultured pearls, they may crack if subjected to strong force or dropped.
・Each pearl is unique, with natural differences in wrinkles, dents, shape, and luster.
・The nacre layers are proof of natural cultured pearls; they are not plastic or imitation pearls. Nacre consists of thin, micron-level overlapping layers.
・Pulling strongly may cause the chain to break.
・If you have a metal allergy, please confirm before purchasing.
About the Metals
Brass: An alloy of copper and zinc. May discolor, tarnish, and cause metal allergies.
Silver: Contains 92.5% silver, with the remaining 7.5% made up of copper or other metals. May develop natural silver tarnish.
Plating: A process in which a thin layer of gold or other metals is coated onto the base metal. Depending on usage, the plating may peel off.
