Kyo-Yuzen is a traditional dyeing technique representing Japan, which developed in Kyoto Prefecture.Its history is old, and it is said to have been established about 300 years ago by Miyazaki Yuzensai, a fan painter in Kyoto.It is characterized by rich colors and delicate patterns, and has been used for various dyed textiles including kimono.In 1976, it was designated as a Traditional Craft of Japan.
This flared skirt luxuriously uses an entire bolt of “Shoken,” the highest-grade pure silk among Japanese kimono fabrics.
