Hand-Painted Shawl (Chrysanthemum)

Product Description

This piece is a wide shawl with a Japanese-style pattern, created by hand-painting Rangiku (a type of chrysanthemum) directly onto silk fabric, layering variously colored fabrics underneath, and felting it all together with merino wool.

Merino wool is water-resistant and resistant to dirt, so frequent washing is not necessary. At the end of the season, please either dry-clean or hand-wash at home. When washing, use lukewarm water and a mild detergent, gently pressing the fabric. Afterwards, lightly spin-dry, shape with a medium-temperature iron while semi-dry, and then air-dry in the shade.
