Pearl Handling Precautions

• Remove Accessories When Bathing or Showering (Including Hot Springs and Saunas): Please take off your pearl jewelry before bathing or showering to prevent damage.
• Avoid Contact with Chemicals and Substances: Be careful to prevent contact with chemicals, beverages, cosmetics, perfumes, hair sprays, and similar substances.
• Proper Storage Conditions: Avoid storing your pearls in places with sudden temperature or humidity changes or in areas exposed to strong direct sunlight and ultraviolet rays.
• Cleaning After Wear: If sweat or other substances adhere to your pearls, gently wipe them with a soft cloth before storing.
• Avoid Vigorous Wiping: Wiping too hard may cause the plating to peel off.
• Store Separately from Other Gemstones: To prevent scratches and damage, keep your pearls separate from other jewelry.
• White Powder Appearance: When pearls rub against each other, a white powdery substance may appear. This is the natural pearl layer (calcium); simply wipe it off. It is not mold and does not indicate a defect.
• White Powder in Cases: A white powder may adhere to the case when pearls are stored inside. This is the pearl layer; please wipe it off.
• Appearance of Drilled Holes: Pearls are processed by drilling holes, which may make the hole openings appear cracked. This is a normal result of the manufacturing process.
• Handle with Care: As these are natural cultured pearls, they may break if subjected to strong force or if dropped.
• Natural Variations: Each natural cultured pearl is unique, with differences in wrinkles, indentations, shape, and luster.
• About the Pearl Layer: The beauty of natural cultured pearls comes from their nacre layer, composed of thin micron-level layers. These are not imitation or plastic pearls.
• Chain Handling: Pulling strongly on the chain may cause it to break.

About the Metals Used

• Brass: An alloy of copper and zinc. Be cautious of discoloration, rust, and potential metal allergies.
• Silver: Contains 92.5% silver, with the remaining 7.5% made up of other metals like copper. Silver may tarnish over time, developing a characteristic blackened appearance.
• Plating: A process where a thin layer of gold or another metal is applied over the base metal. Depending on usage, the plating may peel off over time.
